Currently, Sharmistha is busy shooting for a film titled Udvastu, which is based on 1947 Sylhet referendum. Speaking about Kadambari Ajo, which was shot just before the second wave hit Kolkata, Ankita said, “I am so happy. It is always overwhelming when your hard work is appreciated. It motivates an actor to do better work. Let me tell you, the film has nothing to do with Rabindranath Tagore and Kadambari Devi. It is just the pain and loneliness of Kadambari that have been highlighted in the film.”
